With fantastic snow conditions throughout the winter, the Lech-Zürs region is an excellent destination for winter sports enthusiasts. With a network of over 80 lifts spanning the Ski Arlberg area, visitors can enjoy over 300 kilometres of slopes. The snow is often at least one metre in depth, offering fantastic skiing and winter sports opportunities, so the prospects are incredibly high for Chalet-N-Ski enthusiasts. In addition to the Sportpark Lech, the toboggan run from Oberlech to Lech is also open very close to the 6-star hotel.
In order to feel completely at ease as a guest of Chalet N in the middle of the Alberg Alps winter wonderland, you don’t necessarily have to hit the slopes. You will find exceptional service in all areas, and Chef Kevin Micheli and his team are responsible for the excellent cuisine. “Innovation through tradition” is how the chef sees the orientation of his cuisine. From rustic to luxurious dishes, Chef Micheli likes to reinterpret traditional cuisine of the Voralberg Alpine region. The family sharing concept is a very popular choice for guests, particularly for lunch or after a ski tour. Here, the dishes are served in “Pfannerl”, and each guest can choose what they would like to eat. The kitchen also caters for smaller groups, with a DJ and flying buffet as well as cooking directly in front of the guests, ensuring an exciting culinary experience.
A richly equipped wine cellar offers a selection of over 200 highly interesting wines, which is also as pleasant as it is refined in terms of interior design. Guests can browse the special wine menus, with house wines coming from various regions, including Austria, Italy, Germany, France and the New World, alongside delightful champagnes and cocktails. As a guest, you will be able to experience winter barbecues on the terrace, accompanied by the beautiful views of the winter landscape. This view can also be enjoyed with a glass of punch or mulled wine from the small Christmas market on the terrace. “We make everything possible for our guests,” is Chalet-N host Olivier Gerber’s philosophy.
After a long day on the slopes or hiking through the snow, guests will be able to relax and unwind in the spa at Chalet N. The spa includes steam showers, ice fountains, hay saunas, Finnish saunas, salt tunnel steam baths, two cold pools and a relaxation area.
The spa is complemented further by a beauty area that includes a double treatment room with double or single massage beds and a private hairdresser. The multi-award-winning products from Ligne St. Barth are used for body treatments and massages. With this care, you can enjoy the utmost in natural ingredients and sophistication, inspired by fragrant blossoms, exotic fruits and Caribbean lightness – providing an immersion in the abundance of a tropical plant world. For over three decades, Ligne St Barth has been combining traditional knowledge of herbal medicine and new research to create incomparable formulas: innovative as well as timeless, carefully attuned to the needs of the skin and our modern lives.
The Spa and Beauty area also works with the products of Susanne Kaufmann, who is considered an international pioneer of effective natural cosmetics. She believes authentic beauty comes from nature and its infinite and fascinating resources, providing customers with the very best all-natural products possible.
The well-equipped and modern fitness area completes the wellness opportunities at the resort, perfectly catering for strength and cardiovascular training. Guests are welcome to use the services of a personal trainer, who is at their disposal whenever they need it. Peace and relaxation are conveyed above all by the beautifully designed pool landscape of Chalet N, while two outdoor Jacuzzis round out the ultimate wellness experience.
If you are visiting Chalet N primarily for the winter sports opportunities, be sure to make a note of January 15. That is when the “White Ring” race starts again in Lech Zürs, an event that has international cult status. Around 1,000 ambitious winter sports enthusiasts take part in the 22-kilometre race every year, which features a demanding ski route that includes five downhill runs and five lifts. The route passes close to Oberlech and Chalet N, and the big finish over Lech is not far away either.
The Arlberg region also has a lot to offer culturally. The Skyspace Lech is very close to Chalet N and is an awe-inspiring destination. The unique work of art was designed by the artist James Turrell and opened in 2018, providing insights into new dimensions through its impressive architecture. The open dome narrows the space, creating a special field of vision towards the sky, creating a completely new sense of space and time for viewers. The phenomenon is particularly impressive when the sun rises or night falls. Visitors will be the centre of a 50-minute light installation of the Skyspace concept.
At the beginning of February, it is possible to take part in winter theatre hikes that start in Lech. The theme of the multi-hour hikes is, among other things, the beginning of ski culture on the Arlberg and also the beginnings of ski tourism in Lech. The concierge service of Chalet N is happy to assist you with bookings and further information.
